Help! Friendly Payment Processors Needed
OPW -- Apr 16 -- Wow, can you believe this… I heard it was tough to find payment processors for dating sites. One payment processor is demanding a four year exclusive processing contract, which is unreasonably long. How about we create an updated list of online dating friendly payment processors? Please comment with your recommendations. - Mark Brooks
I wanted to let you know about our ability to provide a billing alternative to the industry.
Telliss Billing provides ongoing daily, weekly and monthly billing solutions through the Local Exchange Carrier/LEC. The services can be priced per minute, per call or per monthly service charge. In addition, we provide a PSMS service as well to about 87% of all US Cellular Carriers.
You can access our information at:

This is a great alternative to the traditional credit card method and extends your reach.

Timely post- I was just beginning to look into this question.
I was at iDate in 2006 and met someone from Jet pay who said they specialized in onlin dating transactions because of the "high risk" profile of dating sites; that most traditional payment gateways such as Authorize.net wouln't touch a dating site. Something about chargeback rates being too high and I guess Jet uses some fraud prevention algos to reduce the chargebacks risk. I actually have built my own fraud prevention system however because keeping the Nigerians out has become such an issue - so I wonder if yet another layer of prevention by Jet is really necessary?
So who is everyone in this industry using? Is it indeed Jet? Authorize.net like the rest of the World? Other?

I account manage the “dating and lifestyle” sector for the PayPoint Internet Services Group UK, whom issue merchant ID’s to the sector through their network of European and UK acquiring partners. In addition providing enterprise grade online gateways with API integration with real-time reporting and integrated fraud guard.
I would be very interested to learn how we could reach more prominent dating businesses through your network.
We currently process for these sites, who would be happy to endorse our services.

What ever you do, avoid Paymentech , First Data , Card Service. They are all the same company and provide the worst service of anyone I know. No only do they demand an exclusivity ( total Anti Competition, should be out lawed ) but they treat your bank account like their own personal account. They will sweet talk you to signing up with you but after you sign up you are all on your own.
