CupidPLC.com Introduces Paid Affiliate Program

I-NEWSWIRE – Jan 18 – CupidPLC.com, at the forefront of the UK dating industry, has created and owned dating sites with a base of 23M+ in over 39 countries, and has introduced a new affiliate program that will allow affiliates to make earn up to $135 for each person directed who signs up for a paid membership. The simple process requires only the placement of a few links to direct potential new members to the CupidPLC site of their choice. Two affiliate programs are available – Pay-Per-Sale, which offers a fixed fee of up to $135 per directed new paid member, and Pay-Per-Lead which pays up to $19 for every single individual sign up. There’s also a percentage program that combines the two, enabling affiliates to earn up to 90% from each sale, plus a bonus for registrations.

In 2004 when I was working at FriendFinder, friends would forward me news but I'd rarely find time to review the news. I thought it would be nice if someone could summarize it. OPW - Nov 15 - POF Ads traffic has increased from 2.5 billion page views per month in 2010 to 3.9 billion per month. You can now target people by the number of ads they have clicked on previously. This allows you to exclude a certain % of users that will never click on an ad. Frequency cap has always been minimum 3/visit. Match.com Affiliates Instructed to Cease Listing Marketing Numbers

FREQUENT FLIRTERS - Aug 15 - You can't list things like 'over 15 million members' in your marketing copy for Match.com any more.  

To Match.com affiliates...

How Affiliate Tax Will Hurt CPA Networks & Affiliates

PACE LATTIN - Jun 30 - There has been a great deal of discussion of all the Affiliate Tax laws being passed in the media. Unfortunately, thanks to a great spin campaign by companies such as Walmart, the discussion has been focused on how these new Nexus Tax laws will affect large companies like Amazon and Overstock. This is not an “Amazon” tax, or an “Overstock” tax, but instead a “Small Business Tax” that has been labeled incorrectly in order that the general media might ignore the reality of what these taxes will do to small businesses. The laws specify that if there is any affiliate of any company making revenue for a product in that state, then the company itself has to pay taxes for any transaction in those states. This means that anyone engaged in any sort of ecommerce, whether it is sale of a product, promotion of a program, signups to site, in theory could be forced to pay those states taxes.

Many companies, from lead generation firms to dating sites are going to start avoiding CPA networks in those States for that specific reason. They do not want to risk that working with a company in a certain State will somehow cause a nexus and thus require them to file paperwork, file additional taxes. They’d rather make it easy and work with someone else.
